Audiobook Review: Peter Pan

Lily Collins fabulously narrates this Audible edition of Peter Pan. When kids believe they can fly, Peter Pan magically leads them away to Neverland with a cranky fairy named Tinkerbell. They battle pirates and live happily without adults until they get homesick. There’s a timeless warmth to the kids returning home safely to their parents.

Of course, Peter Pan flies away but returns to visit Wendy until Wendy grows up. Since Peter Pan never grows up himself, he will befriend Wendy’s daughter until Wendy’s daughter grows up herself. Peter Pan may not be the most reliable boy but he always brings his charm. This audiobook edition will make you smile.

There always seems to be an undercurrent of pathos in extended story of Wendy and Peter. How Wendy grows old and Peter is immortal. I don’t think immortality is all it’s cracked up to be!
